Second Baptist grad Person helps in Case Western win
Second Baptist High School graduate Julien Person poured in 15 points to help to pace Case Western Reserve to a 76-73 win Saturday, Jan. 5, over conference rival Carnegie Mellon at Skibo Gymnasium in Pittsburgh, the Case Western website reported.
Person also grabbed nine rebounds, and recorded three assists, three steals and a block for the Spartans, who improved to 8-4 on the season and 1-0 in the University Athletic Association.
Case Western's next game is at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at New York University.
Person is a sophomore guard for Case Western Reserve University.He is a 2011 graduate magna cum laude of Second Baptist High School in Houston, where he was named to the All-State Tournament Team and All-District Second Team, and to the National Honor Society. The management major is the son of Christophe and Beatrice Person of Houston.
