Westbury Christian grad Orrange contributes to Stanford victory over California
Amber Orrange, a graduate of Westbury Christian High School, is a sophomore guard for the Stanford University women's basketball team.
Westbury Christian High School graduate Amber Orrange contributed 15 points in Stanford's 62-53 win over conference rival California on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif., Stanford's website reported.
The Stanford University sophomore guard also recorded eight rebounds and three assists for the Cardinal, who improved to 14-1 on the season and 3-0 in the Pac-12.
Stanford's next game is 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 at home against the University of California.
OrrangeĀ is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was named to the Parade High School All-America Team in 2011. Orrange was also a 2011 MaxPreps All-American and a 2011 McDonald's High School All-American. She was also named an All-Greater Houston Player of the Year and to the All-Greater Houston First Team by the Houston Chronicle in 2011. Orrange is from Houston and is the daughter of James and Elexa Orrange.
