Houston's Jerry M. Young elected to ABOTA National Board
Jerry M. Young has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates National Board.
Young has focused his efforts upon trying lawsuits and has represented plaintiffs and defendants. His practice emphasis includes complex commercial matters, breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, professional malpractice, theft of trade secrets and proprietary information, products liability and enforcement of employment covenants. He has handed lawsuits in Texas Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, California, Oklahoma, New York, North Carolina, New Jersey, Colorado and Utah.
The Houston resident received the honor Jan. 7.
The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The organization works to uphold the jury system by educating the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury.
Jerry is an active trial lawyer and has consistently been recognized by his peers as one of the best lawyers in Texas. In 2012, he was selected by Texas Monthly magazine as one of the top-100 lawyers within the state and top-100 lawyers within Houston.
