Two Spring Branch runners complete Chevron Houston Marathon
Two Spring Branch athletes completed the Chevron Houston Marathon on Sunday, Jan. 13 in Houston.
Denise Denicolo, 50, crossed the finish line in 4:20:02, and Ashley Green, 28, finished in 4:21:01.
Race organizers said 6,676 runners finished the 26.2-mile race, which began at Minute Maid Park and ended at George R. Brown Convention Center.
Bazu Worku, of Ethiopia, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 2:10:17, while Merima Mohammed, also of Ethiopia, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 2:23:37.
