Westbury Christian grad Okde plays in Louisiana loss
Westbury Christian High School graduate Sylvana Okde scored 22 points in a losing cause as Louisiana at Lafayette dropped a 75-64 decision to conference rival Western Kentucky Wednesday, Jan. 16, at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, the team's website reported.
Okde also got credit for two rebounds and two assists for the Ragin Cajuns, who are 7-11 on the season and 1-8 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Louisiana at Lafayette's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Middle Tennessee State.
Okde is a freshman guard for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.She is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston where she was named first team All-District in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons. Okde was selected as the district MVP as a senior, and named second team All-District in her freshman year. Okde is from Houston and is the daughter of Tony and Ann Okde.
