Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center names physician of the year

Amer Sabbagh receives his physician of the year award from Keith Alexander, CEO of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center.

Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center recently recognized Amer Sabbagh as its 2012 physician of the year.

According to a hospital press release, "Dr. Sabbagh's nomination can be summed up by the following statements: No matter what kind of situation arises, whether it is a colleague, friend or patient, his professional mannerism, concern and warmth is always physically apparent to everyone. He connects with his patients and their families. He makes them feel safe in his and the hospital's care."

The medical center made the announcement Wednesday, Jan. 9.
