SBISD District Improvement Team seeks members
The Spring Branch Independent School District Improvement Team is seeking parent representatives for several schools in the district.
According to a district press release, the DIT is made up of certified campus professionals, district-level staff, parents of SBISD students, community members, students and business representatives.
Defined by Texas law, the team advises the superintendent in areas of planning, staffing patterns, budgeting, staff development, curriculum and school organization.
Positions are open for one elementary school parent at Buffalo Creek Elementary, Cedar Brook Elementary, Edgewood Elementary, Hollibrook Elementary, Pine Shadows Elementary, Ridgecrest Elementary, Spring Shadows Elementary, Terrace Elementary, Treasure Forest Elementary and Panda Path School for Early Learning, of Bendwood.
DIT Group 1 also has positions open for one middle school parent at Spring Woods Middle, Landrum Middle and Westchester Academy.
DIT Group 2 has an opening for one middle school parent representing Memorial Middle and Spring Branch Middle. Middle School representatives may be parents of a upcoming sixth-grader.
