Westbury Christian grad Sumbry contributes to the Incarnate Word victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Hasani Sumbry played for University of the Incarnate Word in its 100-83 home win over conference rival Angelo State Saturday, Jan. 19, at McDermott Center in San Antonio, the Incarnate Word's website reported.
Sumbry recorded one rebound and an assist for the Cardinals, who improved to 10-6 on the season and 6-2 in the Lone Star Conference.
the Incarnate Word's next game is 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 on the road against Texas A&M University–Kingsville.
Hasani Sumbry is a sophomore center for the University of the Incarnate Word. He is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston. In 2011, as a senior, Hasani was an All-District performer and of the team. He is an engineering management major from Houston, and is the son of Nate and Lisa Sumbry.
