Westside grad Luton plays in Nicholls State loss
Westside High School graduate Erin Luton played for Nicholls State University in its 74-66 loss tp conference rival Stephen F. Austin State Saturday, Jan. 19, at William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, the Nicholls State website reported.
Luton was credited with one rebound for the Colonels, who are 11-6 on the season and 3-3 in the Southland Conference.
Nicholls State's next game is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at home against Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.
Luton is a sophomore forward for Nicholls State University.She is a 2011 graduate of Westside High School in Houston, where she was named all-district as a sophomore, junior and senior. Luton was selected to play in the Greater Area Houston Girls' Basketball All-Star Game, and made all-district academic team. The daughter of John and Julie Luton of Houston, Luton is studying mass communications and broadcast journalism at Nicholls State.
