Strake Jesuit graduate Joey Brooks played for Notre Dame University in its 63-47 loss at home to conference rival Georgetown Monday, Jan. 21, at Purcell Pavilion, Notre Dame's website reported.

The senior guard and University of Notre Dame are 15-4 on the season and 3-3 in conference.

Notre Dame's next game is noon Saturday, Jan. 26 at USF.

Brooks played his senior year at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in 2008-2009 were he was a three-year starter under head coach Wayne Jones. A three time captain, he finished his senior season as the second-leading scorer in the Greater Houston area. Brooks was also selected to play in the Capital Classic High School All-Star Game in Washington, D.C. and received all-conference honors three times in addition to being named all-city twice. He also earned all-state honors and all-region honors. Brooks is the son of Lott J. Brooks III and Denise Crawford.
