Buffalo Bayou Regatta scheduled for March 16
The 40th annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta, sponsored by Buffalo Bayou Partnership, will be held Saturday, March 16 in Houston.
The event will start at 7:30 a.m.
According to partnership release, "Houstonians ages 12 and older are encouraged to participate in the 15-mile USCA-sanctioned race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou, whether you are entering competitively, or paddling for pleasure, we encourage you to enter the regatta. Those not wanting to paddle can catch the outdoor fun and cheer on the racers. There will be free finish line festivities including live zydeco music, rock climbing wall, inflatables, outdoor recreational vendors and an awards ceremony. Food and drinks will be available for sale at the finish line.
Tickets are $40 or $45 after Friday, March 1 and $25 for students.
The event takes place at 7700 San Felipe, Houston.
