Hasani Sumbry, University of the Incarnate Word

About Sumbry: Sumbry is a sophomore center for the University of the Incarnate Word. He is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston. In 2011, as a senior, Hasani was an all-district performer. He is an engineering management major from Houston and is the son of Nate and Lisa Sumbry.

Matt Staff, Texas State University
High school: Houston Memorial High School
This week: Saturday, Feb. 16, versus University of Texas-San Antonio
About Staff: Staff played at Memorial High School in 2005-2009 for coach Dave Lay. Both Rivals.com and Scout.com rated him as a two-star recruit at the beginning of 2008-2009. He carried a 3.75 GPA and was ranked in the Top-10 by RCSSports.com for the Houston area and Top-20 in Texas by TexasHoops.com. He is the son of Richard and Victoria.

Jeremy King, Loyola University
Position: Center
High School: St. Thomas Catholic High School
This week: Saturday, Feb. 16, versus University of Illinois-Chicago
About King: King is a freshman center for Loyola University (Illinois). He is a 2012 graduate of St. Thomas Catholic High School in Houston, where he was a three-time team defensive most valuable player and collected all-district and district defensive MVP honors for the 2011-12 season. He was ranked as the No. 24 player in Houston by RCSSports.com. King is from Houston.

Johnavon Linton, Schreiner University
High school: Westbury Christian High School
This week: Saturday, Feb. 16, versus Hardin-Simmons University
About Linton: Linton is a freshman basketball player for Schreiner University. He is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston. Linton is from Houston.

Joey Brooks, University of Notre Dame
High school: Strake Jesuit College Preparatory
This week: Saturday, Feb. 16, at Providence College
About Brooks: Brooks played his senior year at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in 2008-2009, where he was a three-year starter under head coach Wayne Jones. A three time captain, he finished his senior season as the second-leading scorer in the Greater Houston area. Brooks was also selected to play in the Capital Classic High School All-Star Game in Washington, D.C. and received all-conference honors three times in addition to being named all-city twice. He also earned all-state honors and all-region honors. Brooks is the son of Lott J. Brooks III and Denise Crawford.

Devon Turk, Loyola University
Position: Guard
High school: Westbury Christian High School

About Turk: Turk is a freshman guard for Loyola University. He is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where he was considered one of the top shooters from the Houston area.

Julien Person, Case Western Reserve University

About Person: Person is a sophomore guard for Case Western Reserve University. He is a 2011 magna cum laude graduate of Second Baptist High School in Houston, where he was named to the all-state tournament team and all-district second team, and a National Honor Society member. The management major is the son of Christophe and Beatrice Person of Houston.

Anthony Collins, University of South Florida
Position: Guard
High school: Westbury Christian High School
This week: Sunday, Feb. 17, versus University of Louisville
About Collins: Collins, a 6-foot-1 sophomore guard for the the University of South Florida, is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School. He earned first team all-state honors three years in a row during high school. He is a Houston native.
