Westbury Christian grad Ellis helps in Iowa State victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Fallon Ellis played for Iowa State University in a 72-68 win over conference rival University of Oklahoma on Feb. 14 at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla., Iowa State's website reported.
Ellis' play off the bench helped the Cyclones improve to 18-5 on the season and 9-4 in the Big 12 Conference.
Iowa State's next game is 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at home against West Virginia.
Ellis is a sophomore forward and guard for Iowa State University. She is a 2010 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was four-time letter winner for the Wildcats. Ellis earned all-state honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and TAPPS, was a 2011 McDonald's All-American game nominee, and also earned all-state honors as a junior. Ellis is from Missouri City and is the daughter of Sonya Watkins Ellis.
