Westbury Christian grad Orrange sparks to Stanford victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Amber Orrange scored 10 points in Stanford University's 79-55 win over conference rival University of Southern California on Friday, Feb. 15 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, the team's website reported.
Orrange also recorded one rebound, five assists and two steals for the Cardinals, who improved to 23-2 on the season and 12-1 in conference.
Stanford's next game is 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at UCLA.
Amber Orrange is a sophomore guard for Stanford University. She is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston where she was named to the Parade High School All-America Team in 2011. Orrange was also a 2011 MaxPreps All-American, 2011 McDonald's High School All-American, 2011 MaxPreps All-American. She was also named an All-Greater Houston Player of the Year and to the All-Greater Houston First Team by the Houston Chronicle in 2011. Orrange is from Houston and is the daughter of James and Elexa Orrange.
