QED Energy Associate's Stephens receives Star Award

Courtney Stephens, founder and president of QED Energy Associates, was honored with the Star Award for Young Professionals at a luncheon held Friday, Feb. 8 in Houston.
The award was presented at the 15th annual Economic Development Summit program at the Omni Houston Westside Hotel, according to a press release.
Stephens was honored for her accomplishments in founding a company to train engineering technicians for the oil and gas industry, a company apprenticeship program for training and placement and her charity work in hosting a fundraising golf tournament for Because I Care of Texas, which sponsors bone marrow drives in the region.
Stephens founded QED in 2010 and, today, employs a staff of 16 that trains and places up to 30 individuals each quarter in professional careers as engineering technicians, according to the release.
