Swimmer wants to make big splash at state meet
A: Michael Phelps. He's at the top of his game, the best swimmer. He has an insane amount of respect for what he does. I just think he's a pretty cool athlete.
Q: Who inspires you and motivates you the most?
A: Definitely my dad. He was the one who made me start swimming when I was 8, 9 years old. I didn't want to do swimming, but he kind of made me. He always pushes me to do good in my meets, and he's always there to support me.
Q: When did you start to love swimming?
A: When I realized that I could push past people who had been swimming way longer than me.
Q: What are your personal goals this year?
A: I want to make it to state before I graduate from high school. I think that's something I can definitely accomplish.
