Westbury Christian grad Collins plays in South Florida loss
Westbury Christian High School graduate Anthony Collins scored eight points in a 69-54 loss by the University of South Florida to conference rival St. John's University on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Carnesecca Arena in Queens, N.Y., South Florida's website reported.
Collins also recorded four rebounds and five assists for the Bulls, who are 10-16 on the season and 1-13 in the Big East.
South Florida's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the University of Pittsburgh.
Collins, a 6-foot-1 sophomore guard for the University of South Florida, is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School. He earned first team all-state honors three years in a row during high school. He is a Houston native.
