Westbury Christian grad Orrange sparks Stanford victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Amber Orrange scored 15 points to help to lead Stanford University's 90-53 home win over conference rival Oregon State University on Friday, Feb. 22, Stanford's website reported.
Orrange also recorded three rebounds, six assists and two steals for the Cardinals, who improved to 25-2 on the season and 14-1 in the Pac-12.
Stanford's next game is 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at home against University of Oregon.
Amber Orrange is a sophomore guard for Stanford University. She is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston where she was named to the Parade High School All-America Team in 2011. Orrange was also a 2011 MaxPreps All-American, 2011 McDonald's High School All-American, 2011 MaxPreps All-American. She was also named an All-Greater Houston Player of the Year and to the All-Greater Houston First Team by the Houston Chronicle in 2011. Orrange is from Houston and is the daughter of James and Elexa Orrange.
