Westbury Christian grad Ellis contributes to Iowa State victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Fallon Ellis played for Iowa State University in a 69-50 win over conference rival Kansas State University on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kan., the team's website reported.
The sophomore forward helped the Cyclones improve to 19-6 on the season and 10-5 in the Big 12 Conference.
Iowa State's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 at home against Kansas.
Ellis is a 2010 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston, where she was four-time letter winner for the Wildcats. Ellis earned all-state honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and TAPPS, was a 2011 McDonald's All-American game nominee, and also earned all-state honors as a junior. Ellis is from Missouri City and is the daughter of Sonya Watkins Ellis.
