Westbury Christian grad Okde plays in Louisiana at Lafayette loss
Westbury Christian High School graduate Sylvana Okde scored three points in a 77-58 loss at home by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to conference rival Western Kentucky University on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Cajundome in Lafayette, the team's website reported.
Okde also recorded two rebounds and one assist for the Ragin' Cajuns, who are 9-18 on the season and 3-15 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Louisiana at Lafayette's next game is 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Okde is a freshman guard for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.She is a 2012 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston where she was named first team All-District in her senior, junior and sophomore seasons. Okde was selected as the district MVP as a senior, and named second team All-District in her freshman year. Okde is from Houston and is the daughter of Tony and Ann Okde.
