Q: What factors should one consider when choosing a Realtor?
A: The first thing you should look for is reputation. Performance is critical just like you would check the Better Business Bureau for any company; I suggest one should research their prospective Realtor thoroughly.
HAR.com has a Client Rating Experience that rates realtors and anyone can see how well some have performed. Some of the factors involved in the survey are market knowledge, ethics and following up with clients.
Some clients might be first-time homebuyers and new to Houston and the scope of the city’s real estate may be overwhelming for some; thus, a Realtor having market knowledge is important.
Also, a good Realtor should educate their clients. They should be able to communicate effectively as well as efficiently. I often go from topic A to topic Z with my clients so I can easily guide them through the process. Going step-by-step with your clients makes it easier and less stressful overall.
