Westbury Christian grad Sumbry plays in Incarnate Word loss
Westbury Christian High School graduate Hasani Sumbry scored two points in an 82-68 loss at home by the University of the Incarnate Word to conference rival Abilene Christian University on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the McDermott Center in San Antonio, the Incarnate Word's website reported.
Sumbry also recorded three rebounds and one assist for the Cardinals, who are 13-12 on the season and 9-8 in the Lone Star Conference.
Incarnate Word's next game is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at Angelo State University.
Hasani Sumbry is a sophomore center for the University of the Incarnate Word. He is a 2011 graduate of Westbury Christian High School in Houston. In 2011, as a senior, Hasani was an All-District performer and of the team. He is an engineering management major from Houston, and is the son of Nate and Lisa Sumbry.
